1873 _Missouri Republican_ 24 Feb. 4/2 (America's Historical Newspapers)  The negro is not satisfied with political and civil equality. He is not satisfied with the right to separate but equal accomodations as a traveller and a pleasure-seeker, not yet content with separate but equal participation in the benefit of school funds.
