A horse named "Miracle Bromance" ran at Foxboro on 9/14/1976 (per the Quincy MA Patriot Ledger 9/15/1976, p 33.)
There are several back issues of Big Brother here:

I paged through a couple and didn't find "bromance".

The OED's earliest citation for the word "bromance" is dated 2001. According to Wikipedia, "Dave Carnie<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Carnie> is credited with coining the term as editor of the skateboard magazine Big Brother<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Brother_(magazine)> in the 1990s to refer specifically to the sort of relationships that develop between skaters who spent a great deal of time together." I have not attempted to check on the accuracy or details of the Wikipedia statement.
