[Ads-l] New Book on Proverbs

Charles Clay Doyle and Wolfgang Mieder have just published a fascinating book entitled "'Love Trumps Hate': The Dictionary of Modern Proverbs (A Supplement)."  As the title indicates, this is a supplement to The Dictionary of Modern Proverbs, which was edited by Doyle, Mieder, and myself.  The acknowledgements single out Garson O'Toole and myself (although I am not sure I did anything) for thanks.  The mention of Garson reads: "Garson O'Toole, whose 'Quote Investigator' website (quoteinvestigator.com) is a continually expanding and meticulously ressearched repository of early dating for fixed expressions, including proverbs."
