I rarely read X (nee Twitter) but today
I found a new (to me) word, 'mid'. Nate
Silver (the statistician some of you may
know of) wrote 'It's super mid when
people make it their mission to root for
Democrats, Trump, etc.' Matt Yglesias, whose
work I also follow also used the word in a reply.
I see that it's on Urbandictionary.com but I'd
never heard it before. It's defined as mildly
derogatory--'not very good', 'sort of middling'
