The chaste, tender gesture towards the 'crack ho' at the end of Jungle Fever cuts against the grain of everything that preceded it.

NOTE: I am not sure about the OED's policies regarding citation of films, but it should be noted that dialogue in Spike Lee's movie Jungle Fever includes the phrase "crack ho."  That movie premiered in May 1991.
