I'd have dated this to the '70s, when it was common. but no. From
GenealogyBank:
1953 _Oakland Tribune_ (Feb. 5) 29: They would not even let me be my own
person. Golly mother, you sure can kid me along.
1962 _Evening Gazette_ (Worcester, Mass.) (Oct. 31) 36: Avoid this, by
learning to be your own person. Don't live in the shadow of a group's
image, or you'll never have your own identity.
