Imagine you were given the opportunity to live your life over again.
What changes would you make? A popular essay made suggestions such as
the following:
(1) Pick more daisies
(2) Ride more merry-go-rounds
(3) Walk barefoot more often
I received a request to trace this essay. The earliest evidence I
found pointed to an essay titled "I'd Pick More Daisies" by Don Herold
in the December 1931 issue of "College Humor" magazine.
If you can gain access to this magazine, create scans of the article,
and send me the PDF that would be great. I have only seen the table of
contents of the December 1931 issue which states that the essay begins
on page 10. I have not seen the original full essay. I have seen
excerpts and reprints which have been modified.
Here is a link to the new Quote Investigator article about "I'd Pick
More Daisies":

All the 1929 issues of "College Humor" are in the U.S. public domain,
but currently I only see magazine covers in the Internet Archive
database. All the 1930 issues will enter the U.S. public domain next
year. All the 1931 issues will enter the U.S. public domain in 2027.
Hence, scans of full issues will be helpful now (or soon) for
everybody.
Thanks for your help,
Garson
