The schedule has been released for the annual American Dialect Society
conference to be held in conjunction with the Linguistic Society of America
Thursday, January 8, through Sunday, January 11, 2026, in New Orleans,
Louisiana. The meeting will be held at the New Orleans Marriott. The
conference includes information on the popular words-of-the-year vote.

be held during the society's 2026 annual meeting. Nominations will be taken
Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., and the final vote will be held
Friday, January 9, 2026, at 6:45 p.m.
