A good many well-known people ... dropped in yesterday afternoon at the Polytechnic ... to witness a private exhibition of the "cinematographe" of MM Lumiare, a French photographic firm ... the time probably is not far distant when the system of producing moving pictures will quite drive the magic lantern out of the field.
