1861 Evansville [Ind.] Daily Journal (Sept. 14) 2 [Newspapers.com] : Should
Fremont...rush the kettles on the South, they may set the time for the
occupation of New Orleans for a Christmas dinner.

1900 Kingfisher [Okla.] Free Press (Nov. 22) 1 [Newspapers.com]: Keep out
of debt, avoid hazardous speculation, don't try t rush the kettles. It is a
bad time for that.
