I don't have the original message referring to a shopping cart corral at 
Aldi's, but I just spotted "bicycle corral" in an article about a local 
planned development that will include one. I know that transportation 
and cycling does use that term: I've heard/seen it before.

(And just yay for Geoff Nathan remembering Cul de Sac's "cart herds". My 
husband & I are also fans of that comic. We intentionally use that term 
IRL in hopes that it will take root. :-) )
