[Ads-l] Possible Square-Brackets Antedating of "Hippie"

I have previously antedated the word "hippie" (OED 1948) back to 1939.  I notice that the Kansas City Call, 2 July 1937, page 20, column 5 (Newspapers.com), has a humorous poem authored by "Hippie Lipp."  This would at most be a square-bracketed citation in the OED, and perhaps far-fetched even for a square-bracketed citation, but it does emanate from the same time-period and the same type of publication (Black newspaper) as the 1939 cite.
