I have found a very early occurrence of the words "jazz music," but it seems that this is probably a general reference to lively music rather than a label for a particular musical genre: 1915 Orange (Texas) Daily Leader 29 May 5/2 (Newspapers.com)  This play is one of the best presented so far by the Loeb Company, and if  you like real comedy and hilarious situations mixed with jazz music and beautiful dances be sure and see the show at the Airdome tonight.
