All very true, but a current TV commercial for Custom In.
specifically uses the word to refer to a tall plastic cup, wider above
the middle, bearing a corporate or other logo.
Of course, the clever MW def. could refer to any kind of stemless
drinking glass or cup.
But these tall plastic cups do seem to require a special name.
