 I am sorry to learn this. I've been re-imagining him in his classic roles wearing a propeller beanie, and I think it adds pathos to "all work and no play make Jack a dull boy" and an otherwise missing comic element to the end of Chinatown. (My mental "propeller-beanie cut" of "Cuckoo's Nest" was never released because it was too "on the nose".)
