The speaker was a Negro of the darkest type. ... the millions of Negroes in this country are by far more Anglo-Saxon in their ideals, in their aspirations, in their principles and desires than a lot of people who are as white as the drifted snow.  Anglo-Saxonism is not color struck.  The truth is it has no color at all.
