I see it again on Buzzfeed along with a few other gems.
It seems to have taken a while to become a general aphorism. From
Newspapers.com:
[1930 _Arizona Daily Star_ (Oct. 19) 10: Don't believe everything you think
and see when watching a football game.]
1934 _Harrisbourg [Pa.] Telegraph_ (Nov. 23) 7: SAGITTARIUS THE ARCHER. by
WYNN. Don't believe everything you think, especially today, especially in
money matters.
1949 _Evening Standard_ (London, Eng.) (Dec. 13) 8: _Don't believe
everything you see_ is excellent advice; but there's a better rule. Don't
believe everything you _think_.
1970 _Tulsa Daily World_ (March 10) B-1: Next: Don't believe everything
you think.
1994 _Anchorage Daily News_ (Sept. 8) F-4: Don't Believe Everything You
Think.
Etc.
