This is not surprising. In the Know Your Rights trainings that I've
taken because of my work as an ESOL teacher the difference between an
administrative warrant, which is what ICE agents usually have, and a
judicial warrant is hammered home. At our workplace we are trained to
not open the door to agents unless they have a judicial warrant, and
students are told also to not open their home doors unless there's a
judicial warrant.
What's *new* to me is J. D. Vance talking about the 2 different warrants
and making them equivalent, which they aren't.
And yeah, ignoring the strict guidance for warrantless searches, well,
again, it's not surprising.
