A Pew Research Center study released June 10 found sharp divides over
which U.S. president did the best job over the past 40 years, varying
widely by voter group and political outlook.

Overall, Barack Obama ranked as the most popular recent president
across all Americans at 36 percent, followed by Ronald Reagan (21
percent) and Donald Trump (19 percent). In contrast, all other
presidents attract only single‑digit or low double‑digit support.
