Or perhaps it's meant to evoke "deuce" = "crap, shit, act of defecation,"
which has come up here in the past.

In that thread, Tom Dalzell notes that New Partridge dates the scatological
usage to 2003, with a Howard Stern citation about "dropping a deuce."
