I searched my own Gmail inbox for the word, curious if it had appeared
anywhere earlier in my many newsletter and magazine subscriptions, but
didn’t see anything earlier than 2005 (the year I signed up for Gmail). I
did land on this post from the online LGBTQ+ magazine “Them” that I think
is worth sharing.
