Dear Dr. Mugwene,

My name is Ashley Ahn, and I am a member of Torch, our student-run 
newspaper at Glenbrook North High School.

Our publication is currently writing about the evolution of slang, and I 
was interested in interviewing you for your unique insight on 
evolutionary Linguistics with focuses on Africa and the Caribbean.

Although we are mostly focusing on American slang, your perspective 
would be very valuable to understand the variety of influences that 
impact our day-to-day language.

I am available any weekday after 3:20p.m., or 11:20am-12:00p.m., or all 
day on weekends. This interview should take about twenty to thirty 
minutes, and we could do video or phone call!
