The cat's pyjamas/pajamas collocation has many 1922 appearances.
Any Iffy sleeper precursors? Maybe irrelevant.

a) Goodwin's department store in Montreal sold "Nursery Cat pyjamas."
Did they have a cat printed on them? And soft footies, for pussyfooting? I
don't know. No image here.
