The late events in the French colony of St. Domingo are of great magnitude and impression. ... the destruction or expulsion of all the whites ... the discrimination in favor of the Americans, with every antecedent and concomitant circumstance prove a preconcerted, deliberate and determined plan of conduct on the part of the various colored people.

NOTE: This is an unusual citation referring to discrimination in Haiti, in favor of Blacks rather than against them.
