The following words have been attributed to Helen Keller, and I was
asked to perform a trace:

Everybody talks, nobody listens.
Good listeners are as rare as white crows.

According to VCU Libraries Social Welfare History Project the
quotation appeared in the article "The Beauty of Silence" by Helen
Keller which was published in the May 1935 issue of Home Magazine.
Here is a link to the reprinted article:
https://socialwelfare.library.vcu.edu/eras/great-depression/beauty-silence/

The goal is to obtain a complete, accurate, and verified citation.

Apparently, The Interwar Culture: 1930-1939 database by Adam Matthew
Digital holds the complete digitized January–June 1935 bound volume.

Do you have access to this database? Perhaps you can search for the
quotation and send me scans of the article. It would also be helpful
to obtain scans showing the publication title, issue date, and
publisher information for the magazine.

Thanks for any help you can provide
Garson O'Toole
