[Ads-l] Word: cracked versus crack

List members are no doubt familiar with terms such as "crack shot"
(expert marksman) and "crack team" (superlative team). I was initially
confused by a tweet that used "cracked" instead of "crack".

are earlier instances, but it is not easy to disambiguate.
