[Algonquiana] OCR for Cree Syllabics

Hi all,

I'm working on a project right now to archive a large collection of
journals handwritten in Cree syllabics. I remember hearing that someone was
working on developing optical character recognition (OCR) for syllabics
awhile ago. Does anyone know if there is something available for this yet?
