[Algonquiana] overview article?

Hi-

Does anyone know of a good overview of Algonquian languages, for a beginner-linguist audience? I know of Will Oxford's wonderful article but I think it's too technical for someone who doesn't know much linguistics (yet!). I've searched around, thinking surely one of the many handbooks or encyclopedias would have something, but haven't been able to find anything.
