Indeed Heather, this is fine: there is a hard copy for sale and a free e-book for English and French. 4 total on Lulu.
https://www.lulu.com/search?contributor=Lori+Morris&adult_audience_rating=00
These are the final, carefully edited versions with Lori’s notes and questions that many of us helped answer.
I know the French version is regularly used at Kiuna college for training Algonquian language teachers in Quebec.

Taanshi, Marie-Odile,

I also see it up on Lulu for those who want a hard copy. https://www.lulu.com/shop/lori-morris/into-algonquian-a-language-awareness-program/paperback/product-23469612.html?page=1&pageSize=4
Did you put it up there or is something else afoot?

Marsii.

Hi Bill,

It is very strange to find Lori’s book on Academia under another author’s name...

Follow this link from the Learning page of Atlas-ling.ca. The title leads to the printed book (25 Can$) and the PDF to the e-book (free) both in French and English. Lori at her death left me with both English and French versions and asked me to edit and publish them. So I did.

Hello, Monica and all

Lori Morris’ “Into Algonquian” is a good entry level description that we have used for both indigenous and non-indigenous (teachers at schools on reserve) audience.

Hi-

Does anyone know of a good overview of Algonquian languages, for a beginner-linguist audience? I know of Will Oxford's wonderful article but I think it's too technical for someone who doesn't know much linguistics (yet!). I've searched around, thinking surely one of the many handbooks or encyclopedias would have something, but haven't been able to find anything.

Thanks!

Monica
