Hi folks,
I'm writing to remind you of an Algonquian reading group we began last year
and are continuing this year:

We (Natalie Weber and Shanti Ulfsbjorninn) are writing to invite you to
join a monthly reading group on Algonquian morphophonology. We believe
there many interesting phonological generalizations in Algonquian
languages, many of which are not well-known outside the narrow
Algonquianist community. Here's a space to discuss them!

For this semester we plan to workshop current manuscripts from authors in
the group.

New schedule: the *first Thursday of the month at 14:30 EST*.

   - Dates: October 2, November 6, December 4
   - Time: 14:30 ET (New Haven), 16:00 (Newfoundland), 11:30 (Vancouver),
   19:30 (London), 20:30 (Paris)
   - Zoom: https://yale.zoom.us/j/98702146689
   - Website: https://sites.google.com/view/algonquianmpc/

   - Mailing list: https://mailman.yale.edu/mailman/listinfo/algonquianmpc

First up, we have a paper about Blackfoot sonority by Donald Derrick,
joining us at a very early morning hour from New Zealand on his October
3rd. Donald will very likely quickly summarize it for us or walk us through
it, and then we will open the floor for comments and questions.

I've emailed the manuscript to members of our mailing list. If you are not
yet a member but would like to join, please email me so I can get you a
copy of the paper before our first meeting!

We won't spam you again, so please join the mailing list if you'd like to
receive reminders of our meetings.
