Its part of the Melanau dialect chain, which extends from Balingian in the
north to the mouth of the Rejang river in the south, and up the Rejang as
far inland as Kanowit. Kampung Teh is somewhat north of the mid-part of
the chain, near the mouth of the Oya river of Sarawak.
