***NEW: BEST ABSTRACT AWARD: Outstanding student abstract may be
awarded up to $500 for travel.
1. Abstracts are invited for a 30 minute talk (20 minutes presentation
+10 minutes for questions and discussions) on any aspect of formal
Austronesian linguistics. Abstracts are to be typed, maximum 500 words
with one optional page for data and references. Include a word count
at the end of the abstract.
2. One person may submit up to one singly authored paper and one joint
authored paper. Please indicate student status.
3. Abstracts may be submitted by mail or e-mail. Mailed abstracts may
be postmarked on November 15. E-mailed abstracts must arrive by 5 PM,
Hawaii standard time.
By mail: Send 3 anonymous copies of the abstract to the address
below. If there is an extra data page, it must be stapled to the
abstract. Include an index card with your name(s), affiliation,
mailing address, e-mail address, sub-discipline.
By e-mail: Send one copy of the abstract to the following e-mail
address, with subject heading "Abstract." Include your name(s),
affiliation, mailing address, e-mail address and sub-discipline. Any
identifying information will be removed for review.
