Honours Scholarships in Language Endangerment

Two Honours scholarships, each  valued at $1500 for full-time students,
will be offered in the Linguistics Program at Monash University in 2004.

The scholarships are offered through the ELDP/ARC research project
Endangered Maluku languages: Eastern Indonesia & the Dutch diaspora
(Monash members of this project - Dr Margaret Florey & Dr Simon Musgrave).

Students who plan to enrol in Linguistics in 2004 are invited to apply.
Candidates will be expected to write an honours thesis focused on an
aspect of language endangerment.

Applications are due on 31 October 2003. Application forms are attached.
