[An-lang] [SEALS 35] - 35th Annual Meeting of the Southeast Asian Linguistics Society

Dear all,
The Southeast Asian Linguistics Society (SEALS) invites scholars to submit abstracts for the 35th Annual Meeting of the Southeast Asian Linguistics Society (SEALS 35), to be held at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, from 3 - 5 June 2026. The conference will be in the form of a hybrid event, although we strongly encourage in-person participation.
SEALS 35 welcomes contributions addressing linguistic issues related to languages spoken in Southeast Asia, particularly those from the following language families: Austronesian, Austroasiatic, Kra-Dai/Tai-Kadai, Hmong-Mien/Miao-Yao, and Sino-Tibetan. Possible topics include, but are not limited to: Phonetics and phonology, Morphosyntax, Semantics and pragmatics, Historical-comparative studies, Language endangerment, documentation and revitalization, Genetic and areal relationships, Discourse analysis, Sociolinguistic studies, Psycholinguistics.

Pre-Conference Workshop:
SEALS35 will also be accompanied by a pre-conference workshop on 2 June 2026 at the National University of Singapore entitled When Chinese Meets Southeast Asian Languages: Two Millennia of Continuous Language Contact.
