Visiting Assistant Professor of Arabic
The Arabic Department at Georgetown University invites applications for a
Visiting Assistant Professor of Arabic, starting Fall, 2000. This is a
non-tenure-track position, but there is a strong possibility of conversion
to tenure track. Ph.D. required. Applicants should have prior teaching
experience and must be able to handle intensive proficiency-based and
content-based teaching of Modern Standard Arabic, especially at the Basic
and Intermediate levels. Areas of specialization preferred: linguistics or
cultural studies.
