CASA III

REFRESHER ARABIC COURSE
FOR
PROFESSORS OF HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES

The Center for Arabic Study Abroad (CASA) will offer a seven-week refresher
course for professors of the humanities and social sciences whose
specialties focus on any aspects of the Arab world/Middle East and who are
interested in further advancing their proficiency in Arabic.

The CASA III Program, conducted at the American University in Cairo,
emphasizes work on aural, oral, and written Arabic. In addition, the
program features tutorials and special classes to accommodate the special
interests of the fellows.

Applicants must be American citizens* and must have competence in the
Arabic language equivalent to at least three years of study at the college
level.

 Application Deadline is December 3, 2000.
