Hallo,
as to fish names, the most valuable work is Giovanni Oman,
L'ittionimia nei Paesi Arabi del Mediterraneo. Quaderni dell'Archivo
Linguistico Veneto 3. Firenze 1966. As far as I remember, he has
another article somewhere on fishing in the Red Sea, but I can not
find this here in Cairo. For Nile fishes, you may have a look in
Nessim Henri Henein, Mari Girgis, village de Haute-Egypte. Le Caire
1988, IFAO XCIV. Or P.Behnstedt, M.Woidich, Die aegyptisch-arabischen
Dialekte. Band 5, Glossar Deutsch-Arabisch s.v. "Fische" which uses
both sources.
