There is an English-language article, "Arabic Performative Verbs", by A. 
Khalil and E. McCarus in Zeitschrift für Arabische Linguistik, Volume 36 
(1999), pp.7 - 20.  It deals only with performative verbs, 
subclassifying them into Assertives, Declarations, Directives, 
Commissives and Expressives.
