AUB Summer Arabic Program 2003

The Center for Arab and Middle Eastern Studies at the American  
University of Beirut is organizing an intensive Arabic language program  
to be held on the campus of AUB. Students may earn 9 credit hours of  
Arabic instruction, which are transferable to US universities.

The program offers Arabic courses at five different levels:  
Introductory, High Introductory, Intermediate, High Intermediate and  
Advanced. Each level provides a six-week total immersion into the  
Arabic language that consists of 20 hours a week of intensive classroom  
instruction and an additional 2.5 hours a week of Colloquial Arabic in  
the Lebanese dialect. The program combines classroom instruction with  
cultural field trips within Beirut and around Lebanon.

Application deadline: March 14, 2003

Program dates: June 23 - August 1, 2003

Fees: $3,469 - $3,726
