Subject:Moroccan novel queries

A colleague here at Cal is reading the Moroccan novel "Madinat
Baraqish", by Ahmad Madini. She asks, first, if anyone has
information about an earthquake which may have hit Morocco some time
between 1954 and 1965.

Secondly, does anyone have any information about "Abiir al-zuhuur fi
tariikh al-Daar al-Bayda ... abra al-usuur". The edition at Cal is
from Casablanca 1987, but the author/compiler gives no information
about the textual history or sources of the work.

Any info about either question would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
