Subject:Needs Help with Arabic on PC
I use the Arabic Transparent font because it serves my purpose best.
Among a host of problem that I face, the following stand out and slows
down
my work in creating exercises for my students. I appreciate hearing
from you on ways of solving the following problems:
1) Adding new words at the beginning of a sentence already typed.
2) Creating a bilingual list with both Arabic and English on the same
line; Arabic on the right and English on the left does not work but the
reverse is possible.
3) Typing numerals in the correct direction. I have to type the numbers
in the opposite direction. Also, it does not allow me to type numerals
expressing a fraction of the hour such as 1:15, 2:30 and the cursor
refuses to move itself in the proper direction.
Would Windows XP solve the above problems?
Someone on this list suggested the use of fonts from Glyph Systems. Has
anyone tried the Boutros MB fonts? Does it work well with Word 2000?
Sincerely
Aman Attieh
