Subject:Can you greet nominatively?

Salaam all:

I grew up and taught for decades using the greeting "SabaaHa/masaa'a
al-kahyr" in the accusative form. Therefore, hearing others using it in
the nominative  form"SabaaHu/masaa'u al-khayr" raised not a question of
correctness but rather of frequency. Would anyone enlighten me more in
this regard? Thanks in advance.
