Subject:Salwa Bakr in Serbo-Croat
Hi all,
A compilation of 17 short stories (161 pg's) by Salwa Bakr (Egypt) came
out last month in Belgrade, at Prosveta, one of the biggest Yugoslav
publishers. The title in my Serbo-Croatian (Serbian) translation is
Tumač želja [=targumaan al-'ashwaaq=Interpreter of Desires], after one
of the stories.
I thought a similar message should somehow get to the Institute for
Women Studies in the Arab World or Association of Middle East Women's
Studies, but my mail to an old address of Jennifer Olmsted was bumped
back.
