The program in Middle Eastern Studies at Wellesley College is very
happy
to invite you to the upcoming lecture by Prof. Roger Allen, Professor of
Arabic Language and Literature in the Department of Asian and Middle
Eastern Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. Professor Allen is
one of the most influential scholars in the study of Modern Arabic
Literature. The title of his talk will be NAGUIB MAHFOUZ: A
RETROSPECTIVE
and will focus on the work of Egyptian novelist and Nobel laureate
Naguib
Mahfouz. The lecture is scheduled to take place on April 14th at 5:30
at
Wellesley College in the Library Lecture room.
