Subject:NMELRC Job Announcment

The National Middle East Language Resource Center, headquartered at  
Brigham Young University, would like to hire a full-time assistant  
director as soon as possible.  S/he will manage day-to-day operations  
of the center and play a central role in designing, developing,  
implementing, and evaluating  educational materials and programs that  
will increase and improve opportunities for Americans to learn the  
languages of the Middle East.  Candidates for this position should:  
have at least a master's degree and a minimum of two years foreign  
language teaching experience and two years of experience running a  
complex organization; have the ability to work well with people; have  
excellent technical skills; have excellent English verbal and writing  
skills.  Familiarity with issues involved in the learning and  
teaching of less-commonly-taught languages is a high priority  
(preferably modern Middle Eastern languages).  Applicants must apply
