n the latest audio tape attributed to Osama bin Laden and distributed  
on the occasion of the "60th anniversary of the establishment of the  
occupying state of Israel," I noted that in some cases, tanwin is  
dropped from words ending in a long alef. For example, aydan (also) is  
pronounced ayda, with the final "n" sound dropped. Is this a common  
oratorical style?
