Subject:Al-3abd Allaah
There's an al section in classical grammar texts that provides a
classification of al. On such classification is al li-lamH al-'aSl
لَمح الأصل, which might translate as 'capturing essence'.
This is the kind of al in al-Hassan, and al-Hussein, for example. So,
it may be that al-Abd Allah is the same al, meaning the one true Abd
Allah.
