Intensive Arabic Language Curriculum, 3 week program
at the Arab American Language Institute in Morocco (AALIM),
Meknes Morocco
The Arab American Language Institute in Morocco, AALIM, located in Meknes, Morocco, and recognized by the Moroccan Ministry of Education, specializes in teaching both Moroccan Dialect (darija) and Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) to non-native speakers. The following curriculum is for AALIM’s 3 week intensive Winter Break Arabic Language Program
3-week intensive winter break program includes:
Academic component
- 4 classroom hours per day, Monday through Friday, of MSA = 60 hours/wk
- Introduction to North African Culture, in MSA = 2 hours/wk (Tuesday and Thursday afternoon)
- Arabic movie with English subtitle (Wednesday afternoon) = 2 hours/wk
- Arabic afternoon MSA or Darija conversation hour Monday-Friday = 5 hours/wk
Total: 87 contact hours/3 weeks + outings and cultural activities
