Subject: Instructorship Job at William and Mary
Instructorship in Arabic Language
The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at the College of
William and Mary invites applications for a full-time instructor
position in Arabic language beginning Fall Semester 2011.
Responsibilities include three courses per semester at various levels of
undergraduate curriculum, plus supervision of drill sessions. We are
looking for professional, skilled language instructors with experience
and competence in teaching Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and at least one
dialect in a communicative, proficiency based manner from elementary to
advanced levels. Applicants should have native or near native fluency in
MSA, one dialect and English. An MA or higher in Arabic language or
literature is required, in addition to a successful proficiency-based
teaching record. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and teaching
experience. Review of applications will begin February 1, 2011 and
continue until the position is filled. Please send a letter of
