2-Day Intensive Workshop: Essential e-Learning for Arabic Teachers, 9-10th Jul, London

The Centre for the Advanced Study of the Arab World (CASAW), a joint initiative between the universities of Edinburgh, Durham and Manchester, will be running a 2-day intensive CPD course in Essential e-Learning for Arabic Teachers.

Date: 9-10th July 2010

Cost: £75 (This is simply to cover workshop costs)

Location: Goldsmiths, University of London

Type of event: Seminar and workshop

Target number: 10-15 participants

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aims of the Course:
For the last three years, CASAW has developed an innovative Arabic programme blending traditional teaching with e-Learning technologies. We believe it is now the right time to share our unique experience with fellow language teachers in how you can integrate and use technology effectively to enhance your teaching practice.
This two day training programme will be delivered using a blended style of combining theory-based seminars with hands-on practical workshops
It is aimed at teachers with an interest in, but little experience of, technology-enhanced language education
The training will equip participants with the most essential ideas, practices and tools required for language teaching
It will also build participants’ confidence, knowledge and creativity to inspire them to use technology to their advantage
Due to time restrictions, the programme will not go into great detail, but rather will be provided in short "bite-sized" chunks
